Gabrielle was introduced to music at an early age. Her parents bought a piano before she was born and prayed that God would send them children who would honor Him through the gift of music. Gabrielle began piano lessons at age six, and picked up violin two years later. Another two years went by and harp lessons were added to the mix; guitar followed shortly after. From then on, Gabrielle was eager to try her hand at new instruments and thoroughly enjoyed the challenges with each new instrument she played. At age 13, she was given the opportunity to be the church accompanist. From that time on, Gabrielle participated in music ministry wherever she attended.
In 2009, Gabrielle placed 1st in the NJFMC Composition Contest with her piano composition, “Safe in His Arms” and received honorable mention from the MEA for the same composition. In 2010, Gabrielle placed 1st in the NJFMC Composition Contest with her piano composition “Journey for You” and again received honorable mention from the MEA for the same composition. In 2011, Gabrielle placed 3rd in the NJFMC Composition Contest with her piano and vocal composition “Kindle a Fire” and placed 2nd in the MEA with the same composition.
At age 19, She graduated from Thomas Edison State College with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music, with an emphasis in Piano Performance. After graduation, she interned as the music director at her church for a year where she lead choir, performed special music, and played for weekly and special services. She continues to serve in the music ministry at her church.
Gabrielle’s other interests include giving music lessons, jamming with friends and other musicians, substitute teaching in both the elementary and middle schools in her district, and aviation. She is a Certified Flight Instructor and works for Liberty University teaching in their School of Aeronautics. In addition, she received her Bible Certificate from The Master’s College in 2014. Gabrielle continues to expand her horizons with new adventures and opportunities.
